Abstract

ABSTRACT DHEVITA EKA PUTRI. Correlation Between Compensation With Job Motivation of Teachers On SMP Taruna Terpadu Bogor Centre School. Thesis, Jakarta: Concentration of Economic Education Cooperative, Studies Program Commerce Education, Department of Economics and Administration, Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, July 2012. The research was conducted at SMP Taruna Terpadu Bogor Centre School, for four months from March 2012 until June 2012. The research method used is survey method with the correlational approach. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. The population in this study are teachers of SMP Taruna Terpadu Bogor Centre School totaling 53 teachers. Samples taken as many as 48 teachers. To capture data from these two variables are used questionnaire Likert scale models for compensation (variable X) and motivation (Variable Y). Before the instrument is used tested the validity for both variables. For variable X, from 38 grains statement after statement validated there are 7 items that drop, while meeting the criteria or a valid statement consists of 31 items. For variable Y, of 35 grains of validated statement after statement contained 6 items that drop, while meeting the criteria or invalid items comprised 29 statements. Perhitunan reliability of both variables using Cronbach alpha formula. The results of the X variable reliability of 0.88 and the reliability of variable Y at 0.88. These results prove that the instrument is reliable. Test requirements analysis of the normality test error of estimated regression of Y on X to produce Lcount liliefors test = 0.1207, while the Ltable for n = 48 at 0.05significant level is 0.126. Because the Lcount < Ltable then an error estimate of Y on X is normally distributed. The resulting regression equation is Y = 78.43 + 0.47X. From test keberartian regression produces Fcount > Ftable , which is 22.24 > 4.05, meaning that the regression equation is significant. Testing linearity of regression produces Fcalculated <Ftable is 1.38 < 2.25, so it was concluded that the linear equation regreasi. Correlation coefficient of Pearson Product Moment generating rxy = 0.488, then performed the test keberartian correlation coefficient using the t test and the resulting thitung = 3.794 and Ttable = 1.68. It can be concluded that the correlation coefficient rxy = 0.488 is significant. The coefficient of determination obtained for 23.84% which shows that 23.84% of the variation of job motivation is determined by the compensation. The results of calculations conclude that there is a positive relationship between compensation with job motivation of teachers on SMP Taruna Terpadu Bogor Centre School Keywords: Compensation, Job Motivation.
