Abstract

SUCI SRI SETIOWATI, 8105145693, The Effect of Career Development and Work Environment On Job Satisfaction at Employees of PT Pos Indonesia Jakarta Timur, Skripsi, Jakarta: Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta, 2018. Present research is directed to know the impact between career development and work environment to job satisfaction at employees of PT Pos Indonesia Jakarta Timur. This research was conducted for 3 months for March until May 2018. The method used in this research is survey approach. Population in this research is all employees are 319 employees, and affordable population 66 employees. 66 employees on Isaac and Michael Table with incorrect grade 5%, sample in this research are 55 employees. The sampling technique used is a proportional random sampling. Data collection in this research using questioner with the variables Career Development (X1), Work Environment (X2) and Job Satisfaction (Y). Data analysis techniques used normality test, linearity test. The second test is a classical assumption test consisting of multicolinearity test and heterokedastisitas. The third test is a multiple regression analysis. The fourth test is a hypothesis test consting of F test and t test and the last analysis of coefficient of determination. Result of tcount statistics score in the career development and work environment is 4,931 and 2,738 with t table of 1,67. This mean that tarithmetic > ttable, so it can be concluded that the career development and work environment each has a significant participal impact on job satisfaction. Then on Ftest obtained Fcount equal to 100,87. Given the value of ttable of 3,17. So it can be concluded that the career development and work environment each has a significant partical impact on job satisfaction. The results of multiple regression calculations in this research obtained multiple regression equation Y = 6,489 + 0,660 X1 + 0,344 X2. The coefficient of determination 0,794 or 79,40 %, this is to say career development and work environment affects the Job Satisfaction of 79,40 % while the rest 0f 20,60 % is impact by other variables outside.
