DWITA ANDRIANNA. 2009. 8223097580. The Analysis of Product Carrosery Development Strategy on PT Rahayu Santosa Bogor. Program Studi D III Manajemen Pemasaran. Jurusan Manajemen. Fakultas Ekonomi. Universitas Negeri Jakarta. This Scientific opus aims to find out about the implementation of product development strategy undertaken by PT Rahayu Santosa Bogor. The writer takes that title to find out how the procedure of product development at PT Rahayu Santosa to maintain the viability of the product in carrosery business that so tight. That each firm must carry out the development of new products, by implementing new product development the company has created a new product that will certainly have its own advantages when compared to similar product from its competitors. Product development strategy adapted by PT Rahayu Santosa Bogor must be used to achieve corporate objectives. The writer conducted a study of product development is done using the analysis of Product Life Cycle (PLC). Method used in this study is a descriptive analysis by using data gathered through a literature study, observations, and interviews. From the result of this scientific work can be concluded that factors which influence the product development of PT Rahayu Santosa Bogor are the taste of consumers, the emergence of competitor, the desire to benefit, and the relatively short product life. This factors are used as the basic in establishing an efficient product development strategies and effective for PT Rahayu Santosa Bogor. One of which was done by the development of innovation for new product pre-existing product.
