Abstract

Muhammad Faris Muslim, The Effect of Brand Image and Country of Origin on Interest in Buying Xiaomi Smartphones, Students of the Faculty of Economics, State University of Jakarta This research was conducted at the Faculty of Economics, Jakarta State University, for 6 months from February to July 2019. The purpose of this study was to determine the Effect of Brand Image and Country of Origin on Interest in Purchasing Xiaomi Smartphone Students at the Faculty of Economics, Jakarta State University in Jakarta. The research method used was a survey method with a correlational approach, the population used was all students of the Faculty of Economics, Jakarta State University. The sampling technique used was Purposive sampling technique of 125 people. The resulting regression equation is Ŷ = 17,644 + 0,283 X₁ + 0,354 X2. Test requirements analysis is the normality test with the Kolmogorov- Smirnov test with a significance level (α) = 5% or 0.05 and produces a significant level of Y value of 0.200, X1 of value of 0.200, X2 of value of 0.200. Because the significance level of the three variables> 0.05, it can be concluded that the data is normally distributed and can be used in further analysis. Test t and yielded Y over X1 thitung = 2,664 and ttable = 1,6544, Y over X2 thitung = 2,117 and ttable = 1,65744. Keywords: Purchase Interest, Brand Image, Country of origin
